Maybe You’ve Been There
2 Timothy 4:16 (NIV)
“At my first defense, no one came to my support, but everyone deserted me. May it not be held against them.”
Like Jesus, the Apostle Paul knew what it was like to be on trail facing false charges and yet not having any of his many “friends” stand to say a word in his defense. Also, like Jesus, he was forgiving.
“In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends,” said Martin Luther King, Jr.
Speak up for your friends and forgive the silence of your friends.
…how true….
