Looking Good or Good-Looking?

“I look better without glasses,” he said.
“You look nice in glasses,” she said.
“No. I meant that when I look in the mirror, I look better if I don’t wear my glasses.”

The Holy Spirit is God’s gift of glasses for us so that when we look in the mirror of His Word, we can see ourselves more clearly. Our problem often is that we don’t like what we see and don’t do anything about it.

James 1:23, NIV
Anyone who listens to the Word but does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like.”
